About Et Alia

Welcome to “Et Alia.”  This is an urban fantasy/scifi/adventure serial — and it’s a work in progress.  Even I don’t know what content might show up, so you should conscider it ‘unrated’ or ‘rated M’ and proceed accordingly.  You’ve been warned: don’t read on if you would be distressed to (or cannot legally) enjoy a story with those elements.

That said, Et Alia is based off of a webcomic I used to do in college.  It’s a good bit less subject-matter heavy than my other writing, and each ‘chapter’ is going to be pretty short, too.  Kind of like serialized flash fiction.  I’ll try to keep updates running faster, since writing them is a good bit less time intensive.

I started doing the comic back when I didn’t have much time to write, and it ended up being a sort of amalgamation of themes from dozens of short stories I wanted to write but didn’t feel I could do justice to.  Now that it’s made the transition from images to words, I haven’t broken those stories out: They work better as a wild and crazy whole than as individual tales, in my opinion.

Here’s the teaser:

Ean is just a normal guy, recently graduated from college, dealing with normal issues.  That is, if it’s normal to have to deal with secret agents, criminal syndicates, demons, alien invasions, ninja assassins, beautiful hackers, super soldiers, holding down a day job and some petty gang violence.

Fortunately, Ean can count on his friends to help him when the going gets tough.  Unfortunately, the majority of his friends appear to be imaginary.

Please, come join Ean on his adventures.  There’s pie.  I promise.

And if that hasn’t scared you off, here’s the link to the story:

there seems to be some issue with commenting on Et Alia, if it’s not on my end it would explain why I didn’t see any comments. I really like both of your works that I’ve read.

Actually, I think I needed to go in and approve the first one — my sites are setup as a WordPress multi-site blog series, so each one is *technically* independent of the others… and apparently I didn’t have Et Alia setup to email me when comments were pending!

I’ll go fix that right now!
