Ean stalked out into the living room. JD followed him.

“You’re right,” Ean said. “We need to get those documents. Wait here a minute.”

“Hey,” said JD, “If we’re going on a road trip, why wait?”

Ean arched an eyebrow. “Do you seriously think it’s a good idea to leave the demonic Chihuahua unattended while we leave town?”

“Huh,” said JD. “Okay, point,” he conceded. “But good luck finding a dog sitter with his own supply of holy water.”
