Ean caught up to Sakura in the hallway.  "<Sakura, wait->" he called out.  And surprisingly enough, she did.  She turned and waited for Ean to catch his breath.

"<I’m sorry,>" Ean said once he had.  "<About earlier.  I didn’t mean to snap at you.  I just… I…>"  He fumbled with trying to explain himself.

"It’s okay," Sakura interrupted.  Ean blinked in surprise, but she continued before he could say anything.

"I was being stupid; caught up in the freedom from… from the aliens," Sakura said – though she meant to say the freedom from her clan’s expectations.  "And, well, you’re cute, Ean, in a kind of hopeless; helpless sort of a way.  But I’m a master ninja.  Let’s just face it: I have no business getting involved with a nice, normal boy like you.
