Ean took a deep breath and opened his eyes. "Sakura…" he said – but Sakura wasn’t there.
Instead, Rachel regarded him from a few feet away.
"Rachel?" Ean squawked.
She tilted her head with a frown. She was, if anything, more beautiful than he’d remembered from just last week – though with the sharp frown it was a terrible beauty to behold.
"Well," she said stiffly. "This does clear up some things."
"Rachel," Ean started to explain – but not before she reached the wrong conclusions. He was shut up by a sharp slap across the face.
Then Rachel pivoted and stalked away, leaving Ean gaping in her wake.
"What the hell?" he finally managed say. "Did I seriously just get dumped by two women I’m not even dating?"
