Book 2, Chapter 60

In response to Ean’s shout, JD stepped back into the living room. He had a plate of cookies in one hand, and a carton of milk in the other. He was staring at the milk’s expiration date suspiciously.

“You say something, E?” he asked – and then he looked over when he didn’t get a response.

JD’s eyebrows arched when he saw Ean sprawled on the floor with Sakura straddling him. They went a little higher when he took in what Sakura was wearing, and how little it left to the imagination.

“Okay,” JD said, “So you have a date. I believe you, yeesh. Just keep the kink in the bedroom, alright?”

For a second Sakura just blinked at him in disbelief. Then she swiped one arm forward, sending a trio of shuriken spinning toward JD’s head. He flipped his plate up like a shield: deflecting them and spilling his cookies onto the floor.

“Aw, dammit,” JD muttered. “Okay, fine: you guys can have the apartment to yourselves. I’ll just head upstairs and hang with Lieutz and Fifi.”

“JD,” Ean groaned. “This isn’t a date. Run: we’re being attacked.”

JD’s eyebrows went back up. “Oh,” he said. “In that case, I think I’ll stick around.” He curled his hands into fists and settled into a boxer’s stance. “Kinky ninja sex? Okay, I’m cool with that. But starting a fight without me and punking on my best friend when I was kicking his ass in Fantasy Fighter? And ruining my snack, again? I think I’m a little less forgiving of that.
