Book 2, Chapter 97

Sakura jumped in surprise when Ean called out to her. This made two times now that he’d addressed her when he shouldn’t have known she was in the room — and that made her suspicious that maybe he wasn’t actually the ‘nice, normal’ boy she’d assumed.

Which possibly made him a candidate for romantic interest again.

Ean squeezed his eyes shut. Probably because he knew I wasn’t going to let up on him until he got a freaking romantic interest, because dammit: that makes for good subplots.

“Sakura?” Ean asked before I could get on him about it more.

“Um,” Sakura said as she pulled her wits together. She hesitated, then asked: “So, Ean, is Rachel a really hot blonde?”

“Yesssss…” Ean said slowly. “Why?”

“Oh,” Sakura answered. “No reason. I’m just… er… trying to figure out if the person I saw get kidnapped was your Rachel, or someone else with the same name.”

    Yay binge reading

I’m glad you’re enjoying it. 🙂 I really need to get some more chapters for it out — Midnight Moonlight, my other serial, updates reliably. This one is more of my icebreaker; I write in it to get started when I’m feeling a bit of writer’s block.

Is it wrong to hope for writer block?

    • Eren Reverie

No… Sorry. Unfortunately, when life gets hectic this is the project that typically takes the hit. :/ It’s always been more of a ‘goofing around’ and personal relaxation story for me than Midnight Moonlight — so now, between overtime at the day job, way too much stress re: transitioning (seriously, how many hoops do I have to jump through just to get my medications renewed?!) and then holiday plans, this is one of the spots where I’ve sacraficed time from my usual schedule. Typically, I’ll try to get my Midnight Moonlight chapters done for a week and then write some Et Alia — unless I am suffering writer’s block on MM, in which case Et Alia is something I’ll switch to just to get the words flowing again.

Anyway, long story short: Et Alia has been getting neglected for a variety of reasons, of which writer’s block isn’t so much a factor as being exhausted, overscheduled, and somewhate melancholy has.

That said, I’m trying to put together an evening where I can marathon write the rest of Et Alias Book 2, so I can schedule all of it in one go. Although, if I get a grip on my Midnight Moonlight chapters, I’ll still write some Et Alia when I can — frankly, this one hour a night and five hours a weekend of overtime doesn’t sound like much time, but it’s really messing with my ability to keep up with my usual schedule. :/

Do you have anything new happening for this story soon or is it going to be on hold for a bit more? I know you have a lot going on, I am just curious.

        • Eren Reverie

I’ve had it on hold. My overtime hours at work are supposed to be done with at the end of the month, and I’m hoping to be able to return to this then — but as it is Ive had to sacrifice etalia in favor of everything else in my time crunch.

  3. Hey, just wondering if this is still on hold out not….

    • Eren Reverie

Unfortunately, yes. I would really like to get it going again — at the very least to finish this volume. Unfortunately I’ve been dealing with a resurgence of depression, lately, and I haven’t had the energy to pick this back up again yet. :/

Stadekxiel coughed quietly, sitting unnoticed in a darkened corner of the page. Somehow in that one sound not only making his presence known, but conveying that he would like to see more of this story. He had only just discovered Et Alia earlier today and binge read the entire thing. Also in the same cough, he indicated that he hopes the author is doing well, and was happy to see an update to Midnight Moonlight. All in all it was quite an impressive amount of information in a simple cough.

Or maybe he simply had a cold, I’m not entirely-

“What are you talking about?” Ean interrupted, “Who, actually. And what are Et Alia and Midnight M- wait a second. Are you starting to narrate the lives of the audience?! “
